Landsec’s purchase of 55 Old Broad Street in early 2021 was the beginning of a strategic redevelopment plan to build a new unconventional City tower building, delivering 270,000 sq ft over 22 floors with 15,000 sq ft of retail, F&B and cultural space. Squarebrook has been providing development advice throughout the design process, with planning consent successfully granted in 2024. Demolition is due to start this Spring 2025, with Practical Completion anticipated in late 2028.
We have worked with Landsec from the outset, after our Capital Markets team sold the building to them on behalf of PGIM.
55 Old Broad Street will be net zero in both construction and operation, delivering to market a new, sustainable workplace with great amenities.
